Morgan Perrie
Name: Morgan Perrie
Role: Solicitor
What is the favourite part of your role?
My favourite part of my role as a solicitor is the opportunity to work with clients and people from all walks of life. I really enjoy being able to help clients through particularly stressful situations in life, navigating the lows and celebrating the highs alongside them
What do you like most about working for Simplicity Legal?
Every day is different in this role, I enjoy working in a variety of areas on different and challenging legal problems. No two problems are the same and I enjoy working together with clients to help them achieve their goals.
What skills do you find most useful in doing your role?
Having good communication skills to keep clients informed and aware of what can be achieved in their case is essential. As well as having empathy and understanding in helping navigate the difficult situations clients are often in.
Where is your favourite place to go on holiday?
Anywhere to escape the Scottish rain and cold! I’m always chasing some vitamin D and heat. I recently visited Skiathos and Skopelos in Greece and enjoyed spotting (and often recreating) our favourite ‘Mamma Mia’ scenes.
What is your proudest achievement?
I spent a year studying and living in Germany during university. It was the most challenging experience navigating a new culture and language away from home. I’m proud to have pushed through the first difficult months and had the most amazing experience travelling and making new friends.
What do you enjoy doing when not working?
I enjoy spending time with friends and family eating out and the occasional boogie in town. I love to travel, at home and abroad, having completed the North Coast 500 and travelled through Asia. I now hope to cross Australia off the bucket list in the next year or so!
How would your team colleagues describe you?
I hope my colleagues would describe me as hardworking but also approachable and helpful. I’m always available to lend an ear and I’m told I make a good cup of tea, which is an important skill in any workplace!
