Susan Grierson - Solicitor Susan Grierson

Mission Statement: Treat others how you would like to be treated yourself.

How did you end up in this role?

I joined the team in October 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic after having spent 8 months on furlough from my previous role as a solicitor following which I was unfortunately made redundant. I put a post on LinkedIn saying I was looking for a new role which was spotted by Emma King. My first ever interview via video call took place a short time later and the rest, as they say, is history! Everything happens for a reason – what’s for you will not go by you!

What do you love most about the job?

The variety of work and the team.

How do you do what you do?

I’m usually pretty good at keeping a calm head - that definitely helps! I work hard!

About Me

I was born in Greenock and I attended Gourock Primary and Gourock High Schools. I decided fairly early on in secondary school that I wanted to be a solicitor. I did my degree and my diploma at Strathclyde University and worked in retail throughout. I moved to the East Coast (Fife) to carry out my training and remained there for over ten years before relocating West. I have been a practising solicitor for over twenty years. Latterly I have practised mainly in the area of family law.

Personal Info

As well as my role as a solicitor I also run my own business as a weight loss consultant. Having lost a fairly significant amount of weight myself and knowing how literally life-changing it is, I want to help others to do the same. I love to spend time with my family (including our dog Ollie who I adore!) and friends. Family and friends mean the world to me – I’d be lost without them!
