About Leah
I joined Clarity Simplicity as a legal assistant after I completed my LLB degree. My role within the company focuses on supporting the sales team with the onboarding of new clients.
What is your favourite part of your role?
My favourite part of my role is talking to new clients, becoming the first contact they have in their journey to resolve their legal problems.
What do you like most about working for Simplicity Legal?
I love working within a supportive and motivating team. As a new graduate I have felt immense guidance from my colleagues and feel excited to continue to learn!
What skills do you find most useful in your role?
Time management is the most crucial skill I use in my day-to-day. Understanding and planning my calendar around the workload and tasks I have to complete is essential to ensure I have a productive and efficient day.
What is your proudest achievement?
My proudest achievement is my time spent at the University of Stirling. I juggled a full time degree, a part time job, volunteer work, important time for family and friends and a role in the Stirling University Netball Club. I found a passion for netball at university, and this led me to lead the club, with over 200 members, in my role as Secretary. I am proud of the work and commitment I put into my role and my sport, and look forward to returning as a coach this coming year!
Outside of work
I enjoy a very busy day-to-day, spending time with my friends and family. I volunteer with Victim Support Scotland, supporting victims and witnesses of crime through their experience and through the criminal cases as they progress through court, and this is something I take great pride and joy in.
I love all holidays and opportunities to travel, especially when these are booked with my friends or family. My two favourite trips are island-hopping around Greece, exploring the islands, eating gyros and enjoying the sun, and a trip to Japan where I travelled around many cities exploring the culture and museums. A highlight of that trip was staying in a hotel on Mount Fuji.
How her colleagues describe her
Bubbly, and a wee energiser bunny who gives 110% all the time.
Mary McAlister, Sales Executive. Leah adds: bubbly, like prosecco!
