How long have you been in this role?

I have been overseeing the Client Services Team since the beginning of 2022. I have worked for the Firm since 2015. I did some work experience over the summer of that year. I was then offered a Legal Assistant role before becoming a Trainee Solicitor. I have since progressed to Associate Solicitor.

We asked Sinead about her role as Client Services Manager at Simplicity Legal Solicitors:

I oversee the Client Services Team. The Client Services Team are responsible for assisting our clients from the point of their initial enquiry, until the resolution of their case. Together with our Solicitors, they ensure that our clients receive the best possible service. I also oversee the overall Marketing Strategy of our Firm, Business Development and Operations, as well as managing a varied caseload.

What is the favourite part of your role?

My role is incredibly diverse. I work closely with every single member of our incredible Team. This means that not only is each day very different, but it’s hugely collaborative. It’s great to see the positive impact that my involvement has on the service that we can offer to our clients, and to our internal culture and values.

What do you like most about working for Simplicity Legal?

The Team. This begins at the top. Our Firm is managed by two incredible Solicitors and Entrepreneurs, Emma and Billy. They have created an environment where each individual is encouraged and mentored to become the best version of themselves. The other members of the management team, and the rest of our colleagues are incredibly supportive of one another. This makes for a very positive working environment.

What skills do you find most useful in doing your role?

Time Management is absolutely key. My role is varied and I oversee different aspects and areas of the Firm. This can be demanding and so, good work practices are essential.

Where is your favourite place to go on holiday?

I love to go on holiday anywhere and everywhere. I enjoy exploring new places however, in May 2022 I had the most incredible time in Orlando, Florida followed by a Caribbean Cruise with my wife and closest friends.

What is your proudest achievement?

I am proud to have helped numerous clients over the years. It has been great to use my skills, knowledge and experience to achieve successful outcomes for our clients. Achieving a First Class Honours in my LLB was also pretty special. This then allowed me to go on and achieve a Masters in Public Policy which was also very rewarding.

What do you enjoy doing when not working?

Spending time with my family and dogs. I love a trip into the South Side of Glasgow for coffees, cakes and cocktails.

Who do you admire most and why?

Both of my parents. They were absolute grafters. They ran a number of successful businesses and instilled a great work ethic which has allowed me to be successful professionally and academically.

How would your team colleagues describe you?

I would like to think that they would say that I am supportive, encouraging and that I work hard.
