How did you end up in this role?
I first started University on a completely different career path studying medicine. Whilst I enjoyed my studies and the incredible friends made along the way, it soon became apparent that my interests and skills lay elsewhere and I started my journey to become a solicitor. In the space of a few short weeks, I had left my original degree, moved to a new city and was starting fresh. This was an enormous decision but it was immediately clear I had made the right choice.
I studied my undergraduate LLB at the University of Abertay, Dundee, where I gained insight and experience in to the world of law. The Covid-19 pandemic put the normal university experience to a halt and moved learning online for my final year. I later moved back to the west coast to complete my postgraduate Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Glasgow.
It was during this time that I joined the Firm as a part-time Legal Assistant. Once I had finished my studies, I began working full-time at the firm and having experienced the amazing work environment, I was thrilled at the opportunity to undertake my traineeship with Clarity.
What do you love most about your job?
Every day is different. You’re constantly faced with a new challenge and no two days are the same. The support and guidance you’re given from the entire team is incredible. You’re able to learn and challenge yourself in ways you wouldn’t have considered before and push your own boundaries to really find out what you’re capable of.

My favourite thing to do is go travelling and explore new places. I love nothing more than a weekend city break in a new place, enjoying the food, sights and culture of another country.
If I’m not using my free time to book flights, I’ll usually be found relaxing with my friends and family or making the most of Glasgow’s shopping and nightlife (or binge watching an entire Netflix series).
