How did you end up in this role?

My Co-Director Billy and I trained together at the same firm. After he left to set up then Clarity Law (Scotland) Ltd we kept in touch which then resulted in my joining him in August 2011. Despite the initial baptism of fire little could I have guessed that in September 2015 I would be setting up my own legal firm Simplicity Legal with Billy as my business partner, for that then leading to the merging of the two companies in November 2017 to give us Clarity Simplicity Ltd which brings us to today delivering excellent legal services together with our team.

What do you love most about your job?

Listening to someone’s problems and then helping them craft a solution is what I love and is what drove me to my career. Being a solicitor, with a particular emphasis on Family Law, allows me to fulfil this. However, in recent years I have learned to broaden my horizons to appreciate that I can help many more people by not just being the lawyer. Being the owner of Clarity Simplicity allows me to create an outstanding legal firm to deliver that service to more people than I alone can and I love the challenges that brings.

How do you do what you do?

I’ve been told I have high standards – to me they are just normal.

About Emma

Emma is one of the two Directors of Clarity Simplicity. Emma can be described as the steadying hand to her Co-Director Billy. Having joined Billy in 2011 Emma has had, throughout her career, experience in all areas of civil work and litigation but with a particular emphasis on Family Law. Emma has been rated as one of the three best Family Law Solicitors in Glasgow by Three Best Rated® for over 6 years consecutively. In recent years Emma manages her legal work alongside making sure that Complete Clarity Solicitors and Simplicity Legal continue to deliver excellent legal services. Personal Information

Travel is a passion – new people and new places fascinate me. So far travels have taken me all over Europe, North America and Canada as well as China and South East Asia. Next on the hit list is South America. Closer to home hosting and socialising with family and friends is key part of retaining my sanity, ensuring a good work /life balance. Work to live not live to work.
